Shinjuku Gyoen Park is a 15 minute walk from Shinjuku JR Station and great place to enjoy nature in the middle of Tokyo. The grounds are wide and varied, with ponds, open fields, and shady alcoves. There are several tea houses, a nice restaurant and a green house with exotic plants. Ball games and sports are not allowed. Open 9am to late afternoon daily (6pm in the Summer). Entry fee per a person is 500 yen.
