Daikanyama is a pleasant trendy area of boutiques, eclectic shops and nice eateriers that is both laid back and proper. Most people venture here for an afternoon of shopping or to lounge at one of the many cafes, but there are a few other things to do when in the area.
The former home of the Asakura family provides a good way to see a traditional Japanese home. There are different rooms and a tranquil garden space at the back. Open 10am to 6pm.

This modern bundle of buildings is a trendy bookstore, a posh lounge, and several emporiums. A great place to browse or just hang out. Most books are in Japanese, but there is a small section of English books and magazines.

A wooden pathway through a mix of quirky shops and cafes that include a local craft beer place and several upscale fashion stores. It's nice little area to take a break and relax.

This small, pleasant green space offers benches and a park area overlooking the Nakameguro neighborhood. On clear days - it is possible to see Mt. Fuji.

This shopping and residence complex is at the very center of Daikanyama and has boutiques and fashion stores, as well as an upscale supermarket and several cafes.
