









Roppongi is known as the international nightlife area for Tokyo, but there are a good number of things to do when in the area. A short walk from the Station is Roppongi Hills and Tokyo Mid-Town, two gigantic office complexes with shops, parks, and museums. Roppongi Hill is a huge office complex with shops, restaurants and a nine screen movie theater at its base. There are often events on weekends. For a fee one can go to the top floor observatory.

Another massive office complex with restaurants and bars on its lower floors, a top end mall underground, and a large park with a Japanese tea house and pond.

A short walk toward Nogizaka station the National Art Center has 14,000 square meters of space devoted to regular exhibitions and no set collection. Closed tuesdays. Admission fee varies.


The world's tallest free standing iron structure at 333 meters (taller then the Eifel tower by several meters!). Its two observatories are a 150 meters and 250 meters. About a 15 minute walk from Roppongi station.


Azabu Juban is only a short walk from Roppongi Station, but it's a world away in atmosphere. It's a clean village-like neighborhood with many small shops and a brick layed main street.

Five floors of various and sundry items - from Electronics to Bicycles to Cosmetics and weird stuff. It can be a good place to browse and check out goods if waiting for friends.
