Shinagawa is a busy rail transit point with several hotels and a few office complexes. It's not really a tourist area, but there are some things to do if in the area.
This temple is famous for having the gravestones of the 47 'Ronin' samurai who took revenge for their master's death, and then committed suicide in the early 1700's. It is about a 15 minute walk.
