This large museum has a lot of interactive displays, stuffed animals and dinosaur replicas and can be good for children on a rainy day - though the English explanations are limited.

OPEN: 9am - 5pm, to 8pm Fri and Sat. Closed Mon and over New Year break.

MIRAIKAN - NATIONAL MUSEUM OF EMERGING SCIENCE

Near Funenokagakukan station, this large modern space across Tokyo Bay in Odaiba is dedicated new technologies and wonders, with many interactive exhibits and a few dancing and speaking robots.

OPEN 10am - 4:30pm. Closed Tues and New Year's break
